Happy 18th Birthday Kyler!

Happy Birthday to Kyler Paul Webster!  He is such a great guy and I can't believe he is a senior in high school and getting ready for some of life's big adventures.  It's nice to catch him in an almost smiling picture!

It's another adventure!

It's been a busy week with a day off for holiday and then ball games from IF, Terreton, and Arco to Tremonton, Utah.  How blessed we are that we get to participate in our grandchildrens lives.  On Saturday Jace and I finished building his rocket for his first cub scout rocket derby!  We started a couple of weeks ago with two blocks of wood  a potato peeler and a lot of sand paper.  Saturday he painted and glued and we had a great time.  Now grandma just hopes it will fly this week at their derby.  Results to follow.

My "idea goals"

I think it would be fun to share some ideas I find, or make, or hear about, or want to try.  This week my idea is book marks.  I saw a version of this idea on http://www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com/.  I made some adjustments and with an idea of buttons from a fridge magnet I was given by a volunteer mom at school I came up with my version of a bookmark.  Use ribbon, buttons and ponytail elastics.  Sewing wasn't the trick then I saw Martha Stewart use fabric glue that was just the right thing.  Note, WalMart had the same size bottle, brand and everything for around $6.00 that cost close to $10.00 at the local craft store.  It's a fun project and since I like reading it is something I will use.  Makes great gifts too!
Just a note...I'm reading a historical novel series about an early church history  family.  On the order of The Work and Glory, but this is about a real family that are ancestors of an English teacher at school.  I also have several others lined up to read.

I know...no logical order

The group watching  Hayden play basketball in Utah

Jace is such a good sport to go to so many games and cheer for the other boys!

Last Thursday I got to go see Jace get his cemo treatment.  He screamed when the nurse put the needle in his port to scare her but she didn't fall for it...BUT grandma did!!!  He is so brave and such a strong ironman example to all of us!

Just a few of the happenings since the summer flowers!!!

Special day for Jace

Jace was baptized  and confirmed by his dad in November.  We have had several special priesthood advancements too.  We now have a Deacon Hayden, a Teacher Keegan, a Priest Kyler, Elders Paul, Matt and Ivan and a High Priest Randal.  I'm thankful for the priesthood and the blessings that has brought into our family.

Jace Randal Leatham, Matt Randal Leatham and Guy Randal Leatham

We also love basketball season!

Keegan and Hayden also play basketball.  Sorry Hayden, I didn't get a good picture of you playing football.  He is so tough and of course grandma thinks the best on his team!  Keegan plays Varsity (as a 10th grader) and Hayden plays on a traveling team.  Guess #33 is special.  This picture of Hayden is at a tournament in Utah.

We spend lots of time at sports!

Kyler is #71 and is SOO tough!

#71 Kyler and #24 Keegan go at it!
West Jefferson had such good players!!!  Kyler and Keegan did an awesome job.  They were District Champtions, besides being the King and Duke of 2010 Homecoming!
Run Keegan!
