We love Panthers and Bobcats!

Our family of football players. There are 3 Bobcat alumni, 1 flag football Bobcat, 1 grid kid Bobcat and 2 Panther Varsity players. Next time maybe we will have to include a picture of their biggest fans and cheerleaders!

The "Five"

These are the toughest five sweethearts that ever were. We enjoyed a Sunday dinner and then to spoil this grandma the kids all agreed to let me take some pictures. It started with the football players and we just kept saying one more and one more and what a good time we had. Thanks kids for spoiling me!

My bald boys by the burning bush. Do you think there could be a revelation in this... They are all handsome!

WE WON!!!!!!!

We won!!! Well, West Jefferson beat Firth, so the "we" was really the team of which I am not a member of but to this grandma it was because Kyler and Keegan were the #1 best!!! Way to go boys we really do think you are the best! I'm glad you both weren't like Sampson when he got a hair cut.

Way to go grandma, I spelled his name right. The grid kid teams signed the back of the frame.

Special Presentation

Jace was presented a framed and signed Matt Hasselbeck (I think that's right) football jersey from Qwest and grid kid teams at the Madison Skyline football game tonight. It was pouring rain but he braved the weather and was a good sport!

Out of School?

Hayden went with Grandpa and Kent today to gather cows. They had a great day and loved being out riding. These days are special to me because I feel like it is a connection to my heritage that my family gets to have just a little to do with McGarry cattle. Thanks to my cousins for letting my boys go with you.

OUT OF ORDER!!

This is the sign that should be hung around my neck. I know these last posts are out or order to what I wanted but be patient with me please. Life seems a little out or order and sorts some days but hopefully if it all gets on there in the end that's what counts!

It takes lots of air!

It really does take lots of air to blow out 7 candles. The cake was made by my friend Brittany Kaaiakamanu. She also made Hayden's cake last week. Jace loves to play Sorry, at which he kicks Grandma's trash and Uno at which he kicks Grandpa's trash. Don't ask me where that cute little expression comes from but he does it to us every game.

Monday was a fun day because Jace was so happy and full of energy. His smile and dimples were so cute and he even had to be cautioned to settle down, which hasn't been happening at all for the last month. Both boys have body pillows that should be used to rest with not pillow fight!

Happy Birthday Jace, Monday October 19, 2009

What a year it has been and how thankful we are that Monday was a special day for Jace. As you saw last week he does enjoy eating birthday cake. Our biggest birthday wish is that Heavenly Father will continue to bless this sweet little boy with extra strength and courage to face the coming year. We see the blessings of prayer in his and our lives everyday.

What a great day it was today. The weather was a beautiful fall day and even though Randal had to go to work the boys got in a quick horseback ride when he got home. No, Jace didn't get to go this time but he did get to ride around the pasture while they were getting ready with a great big smile as Matt lead him around on Blue. When the boys left Jace and I headed for the house, a movie and rice crispy treats. I'm sure the sun was shining brighter because of the smiles today!

A picture is worth a thousand words is a good quote for this darling picture of grandma's sweetheart. I know, he may be an ironman but he is still this grandma's baby grandchild. I am so proud of the love and support Kortney, Kyler, Keegan and Hayden are showing to Jace. It was sure easier to tell where Kyler and Keegan were when their football team lined up for the introductions!

The girls were "really" glad that Jace said "No girls allowed!" He was so cute and excited to see all the support he had in getting his new hair style. The best part for this grandma was seeing the big smile on his face.

Kyler, Jace and Keegan with their cute new hairless heads. It was quite a party!

Yummy Birthday Cake

It may have been Hayden's Birthday Cake but it was Jace that just loved it! Hayden turned 11 today and what a party. We all went to the Craze and played laser tag and golf. What a way to turn big boys into little boys chasing each other around and rushing to check the scores. It was a great time and then everyone went to Haydens for cake and ice cream.

This picture is Jace swinging out over the lake at Pack Saddle. It made me think of the many "swings" that are happening in life. Just like this little boy swinging from way up high that was making even the big boys a little nervous he was brave and willing to meet the challenge. After several swings he let go and made the big splash and was ready to swing again. I know his bravery will be one of his big strengths now.

I think it was on one of the ironmanjace blogs that someone offered this quote and I've thought of it often lately:

"The greatest thing you have is the next 24 hours in front of you. The past is gone, the future is distant, TODAY you can succeed."

I'm sure anyone who reads my blog has read the blog about Jace. This picture was taken in August at a birthday party to remember my dad. His Leatham cousins think he's such a special kid. It's so easy to tease the "baby" of the family. Believe me he holds his own and even has that sly spark that brings him back with the big tease. We are all pulling for Jace and know he is really an iron man in strength and will! Our whole family including cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family are pulling and praying for comfort and courage for Matt, Amy, Hayden and Jace. Being a parent watching their child watching their child hurt is more that one can handle alone and we are so thankful for all the love and support we have received. Thanks to each of you!

As I sit at the computer tonight so many emotions are overflowing that I can't really find words to describe the last few days in the lives of our family. Last Friday our youngest grandchild, Jace Randal Leatham was diagnosed with lukemia. I keep thinking the tears will slow. He is at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. He is such a tough little guy. We so appreciate all the love and prayers that have come to our family. There is a blog that tells so much better than I can begin to about all that is going on, http://www.ironmanjace.blogspot.com/. Thanks so much for the support and love. Please be patient if we don't answer calls, e-mails or texts. We read and listen to each one but just have a hard time talking. I am home right now and Randal is still in Salt Lake. Thanks again for all your love, prayers and support. Please keep him in your prayers.

Eastern Idaho State Fair 4-H Horse Show 2009

Saturday morning started early with the 4-H Horse Show. Keegan did great and it really only seems like a few years ago that we were there with his mom in the show. He likes horses and is doing a great job at training his own colt. The day was spent walking and sampling fair food and walking and looking at everything from food storage and purses to hot tubs and the big buy of the day was cushions to sit on for the bull riding event. Believe me it made the Cody Rodeo seem really exciting! All in all it was an enjoyable day with the Webster family!

I know this is out of order but you have to realize I forgot how to do this blogger thing. We had a great camping trip to Packsaddle lake with our Webster and Leatham kids and my first experience with 4 wheeling. The lake was so beautiful and the kids had such fun swinging off a rope swing and balancing off a log into the lake.

Great grandpa's birthday party

It was almost a complete picture...just missing Ivan who was out of town. Each year we get together with my sister Tamra and her family to remember my dad's birthday. It was a great picnic and so fun to have family together.

Suprise, I'm back!

It's a happy 16th birthday wish to grandchild number 2, Kyler Paul Webster. Kyler, the best basketball player on West Jefferson JV team in his grandma's eyes!
